Hotel Overview

At the heart of Puerto Princesa City in Palawan can be found an ideal vacation site where total relaxation is facilitated. Casa Linda Palawan Resort is a unique vacation inn in the Philippines because it is not a beachfront type of resort. It is a homey house where there are rooms leased and rented out to tourists. For quite some time, Casa Linda has been popular among international tourists from Asia and Europe. It has been a favorite vacation spot for researchers, scientists, volunteers, non-government organizations and expatriates. It is also serving as a different accommodation for regular Palawan vacationers.

This simple farm resort is not just a place for vacation stays in the Palawan capital city. Casa Linda is a serene and intimate accommodation site in the middle of Puerto Princesa. It is very quiet, very conducive for sleeping, relaxing and reading. In fact, there is foyer where guests can easily and conveniently exchange and borrow books and other reading materials. At the side of the foyer can be found a small souvenir center showcasing native shirts and handicrafts.

As for accommodations, there are enough rooms to accommodate several guests. There are 12 spacious rooms for rent, showcasing the laid-back island lifestyle. The guest rooms are all having native sawali walls, which are made of hand-woven bamboo structures. Floors and shutters are made entirely of wood. The rooms are all furnished with their own baths and toilets. However, a single television set is provided in the lobby to complement and further implement the laid-back atmosphere. Hot water in the bath can be attained upon request from the kitchen.

Casa Linda's central portion has a thatched roof gazebo that is flanked with rooms. Like the guest rooms, the interior of the entire inn is made of sawali walls, spotless ipil floors and sakot columns. Outside, there is a beautiful and interesting garden that is full of local flora. The ornamental plants are somehow dwarfed by several coconut trees. The garden and the surrounding trees further enhance the homey Filipino feel of the resort. Imagine yourself waking up in total serenity in the morning, hearing the sounds made by the humming birds and the squirrels playing around the surrounding acacia trees.

Other amenities are identified for Casa Linda. Guests can take other services for additional charges like laundry, tour information assistance, transportation hiring guidance, safety deposit boxes, long distance telephone calls and fax communication services.

The in-house restaurant has a bar area and six tables. Some guests may request to consume their meals in the gazebo. The restaurant is very much known for its famous omelets and pancakes, which are said to be the best and the tastiest in town. Other than those, Casa Linda offers a menu comprising of American, Continental and Filipino breakfasts, all at very practical costs. The food joint opens each day at 6 am and then closes in the evening at 9 pm. Special dishes are also cooked upon guests' requests for minimum charges.
